They first met in high school but it was a year pass, before their paths crossed again. Brent started lineman school at OSU and she moved back to Texas to finish out her senior year of high school. He randomly called her one day out of the blue and the conversation went so effortless. Their friendship grew and a relationship began. Sarah said she didn’t want to use the word “fate” it was a little too cliche but instead the word we’ll use is faith. “I had lost mine at the time, I was soul searching and in Brent I found everything I prayed for, love and most of all a family.”
Their wedding would take place in the rural city of Antlers, Oklahoma at the beautiful Ponderosa Venue. As all February weddings the videographer and I worried about several variables to the day… Rain, clouds and dark interior venue, but as professionals it’s our sole job to create timeless images for the couple. I am always very persistent about the end result of my work and I will move furniture and change entire spaces to ensure I get the best images possible. As a photographer every wedding is different they all present new obstacles to go through. The lighting in the Mansion was beautiful, huge east facing windows gave us an ethereal glow in every picture Mrs. Sarah was in.
As a wedding photographer it’s part of the process to be a coordinator, a curator and a decision maker. Sarah and Brent had full trust in my abilities and this is always a plus for me! I am so blessed the Norrid Family chose me to capture this beautiful wedding and I hope they cherish these images as much as I do. It is one of my favorite weddings to date! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Shelton!
